Nadja, Amesouers, Alcest, make note

I've got to give Jesu some major props for not calling themselves black metal and running with it. We all know that this new trend of indie kids calling the shoegaze they make black metal is just another way for them to get indie cred, so I am glad that Broadrick dispensed with that nonsense. (I mean, dude was in Godflesh, I don't know that he really needs a whole lot more cred).
In addition to that, I am glad to see that the new album is going to be released on Caldo Verde with Mark Kozelek where it belongs. For real, this new song just sounds like Red House Painters with a more metal guitar tone.
Don't get me wrong, I really like it, it just isn't black metal.

Correction: Nadja do not call themselves black metal after all. Instead, they prefer "metalgaze." Really?
