The new Weezer song is called "(If you are Wondering if I want you to) I Want You to" from an album that apparently be called Raditiude.
I fully accept that a lot of people will hate on this new song/its title/ the album title but I will refrain. Here's why: in my mind it is very difficult for Weezer to do anything wrong. Or, more specifically, it will take a great deal of wrong for me to start disliking Weezer. (Make Believe brought me close to it). I think of them like family, even if they get drunk and crash my car, I will eventually forgive them and keep loving them. I found many things to love in the Red Album, and I am sure I will be able to find something to love in the new album. Also, the new song really isn't that bad when you get over the fact that it doesn't sound like Pinkerton.
On the other hand, the new Converge album, Axe to Fall, is sure to be criticially beloved. So far the only real bone I have to pick with the record is that they don't seem to be breaking any new aesthetic ground. I mean, the album art looks like it could have been taken from the inside of Jane Doe. But, you know, whatever. Because, seriously, "Dark Horse" slays and I am sure the rest of the album will not disappoint.
